Meet 91’s 2025-2026 Bell Scholars

Bell Scholarships are among the largest undergraduate awards in Canada, valued at $70,000

This year, six students were awarded 91’s prestigious Bell Scholarship, recognizing outstanding high school graduates who demonstrate strong academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, extracurricular engagement, work experience, and good citizenship.

“Every year, I am astounded by the calibre of students who join the 91 community as Bell Scholars, and this year is no exception,” says President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ian Sutherland. “Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to their communities have already set them apart, and I look forward to seeing the ways they will contribute at 91, New Brunswick, and beyond. Congratulations to each of this year’s extraordinary recipients on this well-deserved achievement.”  

The Bell Scholarship program offers up to eight scholarships to entering students per year, valued at $70,000 ($17,500/year) with an optional paid internship.  

The 2025-2026 recipients are: 

  • Boluwatife Adefemi — Bachelor of Arts — Aviation, Oshawa, ON 
  • Thomas Casey — BSc Biochemistry, Halifax, NS  
  • Kaein Jenner — BA History, Chilliwack, BC 
  • Réka Lajtha — BSc Biochemistry, Saint John, NB (originally Budapest, Hungary) 
  • Nevaeh LeBlanc — BSc Biopsychology, Dieppe, NB 
  • Delphine Reid — BA Political Science, Minor English, Philadelphia, PA
